Daynote 7137 and forwards…

August 2nd, 2010

…shall be posted elsewhere.

To avoid filling this blog with only daynotes, I shall henceforth be posting them on a Tumblr which you can find here.

Daynote 7135

July 31st, 2010

Writing

  • Wrote some more Everything Is Ordinary, now at 72 of expected 315 lines.

Reading

  • Finished Yotsuba&! volume 1. :D
    Can’t wait to read more!!
  • Reread MegaTokyo volume 1.
While later chapters undoubtedly read very well as a book, early MegaTokyo was very much a webcomic, not a comic book.
  • Finished Case Closed volume 1.
    Very good.

Goals

  • Get all episodes of Everything Is Ordinary to at least 10 lines before posting daynote 7136: Abandoned in favour of finishing episode two but got to 72 lines so kinda achieved anyway.
  • Finish episode two of Everything Is Ordinary before the broadcast of episode one: Halfway there.

Random out of context compliment:

Daynote 7134

July 31st, 2010

Writing

  • Wrote two lines of episode two of Everything is Ordinary.

Reading

  • Read the first four chapters of Yotsuba&!. It’s awesome.
  • Finished The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It’s awesome and I can’t wait to read the next two books. (Especially because there’s story in those that ain’t in the anime.)

Miscellaneous

  • Performed experiment dubbed Waterrhoea to see whether my favourite brand of boxed water gives me diarrhoea. Conclusion was, sadly, positive.

Goals

  • New goal: Get all five episodes of Everything Is Ordinary currently being written to 10 lines before the end of the weekend.

Daynote 7133

July 30th, 2010

Writing

  • Started work on episodes 2 through 6 of Everything is Ordinary. Wrote 34 of 310-line goal.
  • No change on status of Project Mouse (preliminary title) but am considering looking into buying fancy pens so I can do the line art on paper instead of digitally.

Reading

  • Read 1950 of The Complete Peanuts.

Miscellaneous

  • Decided to start keeping daynotes to encourage myself to do things.
  • Experimented with drinking from two plastic cups at once. Experiment succesful.

I was gonna take a picture of everything stacked on top of each other but when the pile threatened to collapse we sorta gave up.

Okay, so the last two pictures ain’t of things I bought. :)

The It’s Been A Long Day And I’m Quite Tired But If I Have To Write This Down Now Or I’ll Forget London Write-Up

July 25th, 2010

As the title of this post probably makes clear, here’s my post-London post. I’m tired and my memory is already rubbish when I’m not, so it’s in no particular order per day.

The Zeroth Day: The Boatening

  • The boat was pretty rubbish.
  • Beds were even more rubbish. I kept rolling off or whatever.
  • Instead of the previously advertised ‘Cop Out’, which I was looking forward to finally seeing, they were playing ‘Sex and the City 2′ in the on-board cinema. Talk about not a fair replacement. So I didn’t see a movie.
  • The food was between mediocre and okay. The meatballs were mediocre and the fries were okay, even if I did over-salt them a tad.
  • The showers were so small I had to bend the mountain giant that is me into a shape so uncomfortable I vowed to never shower again.
  • The WiFi was decent enough. Read the rest of this entry »
